I don't know if I missed this in the documentation but is there a way to write plugins for Banshee? I run a Webmention endpoint on my server and I was wondering if there was a way to integrate this with Banshee. All I would really need to do is advertise the endpoint in the head sitewide and then display webmentions on posts, like above or below the comments section.

What do you mean with plugin? You can write your own module (is the combination of a controller, model and view) or a library. Banshee is a framework, which means that changing and extending its code is intended.
